Lagan Construction move into Fairways
The Muir Group has let 5,687 sq ft of office accommodation at Fairways Business Park, Livingston to Lagan Construction, one of the UK's leading Civil Engineering businesses.
The company deals with infrastructure, capital and maintenance projects for both the private and public sectors. With over 45 year experience the company, established in Ireland, covers both the UK and international markets. Lagan is relocating from their previous accommodation in Fife in order to facilitate the expansion of the business.

Bathgate to Airdrie line is on track
THE FIRST length of railway track was laid on the Bathgate to Airdrie line this week.
A track laying ceremony was held on Monday and saw the first piece of the 15-mile line put in place as the major project enters a crucial phase.
The tracks, laid just to the west of the town’s station, will link the existing Bathgate to Edinburgh and Airdrie to Glasgow lines by autumn this year.
It is expected that passenger services will be operating on the track by December.
The track laying ceremony followed 18 months of rigorous activity.

Barr Bags £35 Million Sainsbury's Contracts
Barr Construction, one of the UK’s leading construction companies, has through its retail division secured a series of contracts worth £35 million from Sainsbury’s, which has embarked on an ambitious expansion programme in Scotland.
The contracts will see Barr’s retail division construct two new stores, oversee two store extensions and one store conversion for the supermarket chain. Barr will also be responsible for the construction of Sainsbury’s convenience store programme throughout Scotland.
Barr will begin work in the summer of 2010 on a new 25,000 sq ft (sales) store in Hawick, having recently delivered a new 30,000sq ft store in Strathaven.
The company will add an extra 25,000 sq ft to the existing Sainsbury’s store in Hamilton and will extend the supermarket’s Darnley store, which on completion in October 2010 will have a 100,000 sq ft sales floor, making it Sainsbury’s largest store in Scotland.
